We use only the cookies and browser storage the site needs to function — like remembering a preference on your device. No advertising networks follow you across the web, and no commercial profiles get built from your typing.

KeyProbe may use a small amount of browser storage to make the site easier to use — if a preference carries over between visits, it lives in your browser's local storage on your device, not in a database on ours. You can view and clear it any time through your browser settings, and the keyboard tester keeps working without it.
Server logs. Every website request generates standard technical records — IP address, browser type, pages requested. We treat that data as exactly what it is: operational noise for uptime, security, and troubleshooting, not a profile of you. It never includes the keys you pressed during a test, because those never reach a server in the first place.
Your controls. You're always in charge of the browser side. Run KeyProbe in a private browsing window, or clear cookies and site data whenever you like — the tester doesn't need to track you to function.
